2 Terms of Site Use:
Your use of the Site is subject to certain Terms & Conditions. Only visitors to the Site who agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Participants” “Buyer” “You” “Your” as the context requires) may participate in buying on this site or from me.
By using the Site, you indicate that you have accepted and agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
Annaliese Rivers reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be updated on this page and it is your responsibility to ensure that you are aware of any such changes.
3 Accessing the Site:
Whilst I will use reasonable efforts to ensure that the Site is available at all times, I cannot guarantee that the Site or any individual function or feature of the Site will always be available and/or error free. For example, there may be periods when I need to carry out maintenance on the Site or implement upgrades which will restrict access.
There may be links to other websites and online resources provided on the Site. I do not endorse such external sites and I am not responsible for them. Your use of such external sites is at your own risk.
I cannot guarantee that the Site (or any third party it is subsequently linked to) will be free from infection by viruses or anything else that may be deemed harmful or destructive. I cannot accept any liability for damage sustained as a result of the transmission of viruses or any other malicious content. Therefore, I strongly recommend that you take precautions against infection.
I reserve the right to restrict or refuse your access to the website or part of it, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders at our discretion. If I cancel an order, it will be without charge to you.
Please ensure that the details with which you provide me are correct and complete. Please contact me immediately if you have made any changes to the information that you provided when purchasing.
My prices are set in £GBP and you will be billed in £GBP.
Full payment for any item/s ordered must be received and cleared before that order can be accepted by me. No order will be dispatched until payment funds have cleared. Once total payment has been cleared I will email you confirmation that your order has been accepted. By accepting your order I create a legally binding contract between you and I.
Persons under the age of 18 years are prohibited from ordering items using this website. By placing an order you are certifying that you are aged 18 years or over.
For all Bespoke items ordered, the agreed deposit must be received and cleared before the ordering of specialised components or production of design will commence. All deposits are non-refundable.
I accept most major credit/debit cards via paypal. There is no requirement for you to have a paypal account to use this method. Alternatively payments can be made by bank transfer (BACS). You will need to contact me for the relevant bank account details. This will result in your order being placed outside of this website’s payment process, however, these terms and conditions will still apply. Payment by BACS must be received within 7 days of order or the order will be cancelled.
Prices are subject to change. You will be charged the price as stated at the time of your order.
5 Delivery Times:
Please note that “Delivery Estimates” are just that. As such they should not be relied upon as guaranteed delivery times. If you have any concerns regarding delivery times, then please contact me prior to submitting an order.
All items are individually handmade to order.
I will make every effort to dispatch handmade Shop items (as advertised as ‘Shop Items’ on the Site) within 10 working days once payment funds have been cleared.
Dispatch timescales for ‘Bespoke Items’ (items made to your specific designs) can be anything up to 6 – 8 weeks once payment funds have been cleared.
In order to prioritise work I ask that you provide me with the date of your wedding/event.
Please contact me if you require a rush order service. I will make every effort to accommodate your request. Depending on required timescales, this service may incur an extra charge.
6 Postage & Packaging:
Orders will be despatched by the following methods:
Royal Mail Special delivery (Insured) – Free Delivery on all UK Orders
International orders will be despatched by Royal Mail Special Delivery equivalent and require a signature.
EUROPE – £15.00
REST OF THE WORLD – £15.00
I cannot be held responsible for any delivery delays once the goods are in possession of the Royal Mail.
I am not liable for failure to deliver goods due to circumstances beyond my control.
It is your responsibility to provide me with the correct and complete delivery address. Please inform me immediately if there are any changes to the information you provided when submitting an order. You can update me with any changes using our ‘Contact Me’ form, email or telephone.
Please note that all items will require a signature upon delivery. It is your responsibility to ensure that someone will be available to sign for and take delivery of your order.
If the postal service return a package to me due to non-delivery for whatever reason, you will be responsible for any additional costs incurred for repeat delivery.
7 Cancellations for Bespoke Orders:
Bespoke orders that have been placed and confirmed by deposit can be cancelled in writing. If no work has commenced prior to notice of cancellation, the non-refundable deposit will be retained by me but no further payment will be required from you. However, if work has commenced prior to notice of cancellation then full payment of the piece will be required.
I reserve the right to cancel the contract between us if;
- one or more of the items you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to an error in the pricing information received by me from my suppliers or a typographical error on my part.
- I have insufficient stock to fulfil your order; or
- I do not deliver to your location.
In the unfortunate event that I need to cancel your contract, you will be notified via email immediately. I will endeavour to refund your payment (wavering the non-refundable deposit clause) as soon as possible and within 14 days of acceptance of your order.
I will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
All of my items are individually handmade. Therefore, due to the Bespoke nature of my designs I only offer returns under the following circumstances:
- Items received by you are damaged
- Items received by you are not as described
- Items received by you are not part of your original order
Refunds are given at my discretion. The item/s must be returned within 7 days of receipt and this must be prior to your wedding date. The item/s must be returned in the original condition, unworn and in the original packaging. You have a duty to take reasonable care of any goods received, and I reserve the right to refuse the return of items which have not been subject to this care and/or if I feel my returns policy is being abused.
In compliance with health and safety regulations, I cannot accept return of earrings once dispatched or taken from point of sale. If they are contained in a set, then the set cannot be returned.
I am unable to offer refunds on items that have obviously been tampered with and/or have been worn.
In order for your return to be valid, it must be previously arranged with me, either via email or by telephone.
All returns are to be returned via Royal Mail Special Delivery as this service is tracked and insured. This is to be arranged by you and I recommend that you retain your proof of postage. Once you are in receipt of your order, you become the owner of the goods. You will remain liable for the loss or destruction of the goods until such time as they are returned to me. When the items have been returned to me and accepted as a valid return, the cost of postage will be refunded back to you via bank transfer (BACS) to an account of your choice. If you choose to return the item by any other method then risk of damage or loss lies solely with you.
All returns will be refunded within 14 days of receipt of the goods. Payment method will be at my discretion and to the purchaser. Payment will be made via bank transfer (BACS) to account agreed by the purchaser.
10 General Product Information:
All of my products are individually handmade and whilst every effort is made to accurately replicate the original design, due to the natural qualities of the components used very slight variations may occur.
Unfortunately Annaliese Rivers cannot accept responsibility for any variations in the appearance of colour/hue of the products due to the digital equipment or software used by my customers.
All headpieces are made using tarnish resistant plated wire (silver, gold and rose-gold). Silver and gold plated headbands are also used. All jewellery items are finished in 925 Sterling Silver unless otherwise stated. All earrings are made with sterling silver hooks or studs. Filled carat gold can be used and this will incur an extra cost. I use Swarovski crystal and pearls in addition to (but not limited to) Preciosa components.
Annaliese Rivers does not accept responsibility for any damage, injuries or incidences that may arise through the use of my products. Please note that my items contain small parts that are unsuitable for young children.
My jewellery items are made to a standard size. I am more than happy to custom design pieces to your own measurements. This service will not incur extra charges. In order to ensure a perfect fit simply take a piece of ribbon and use this to measure a comfortable fit around your neck and/or wrist. Using a tape measure, make a note of the length of ribbon (in centimetres) and forward these details. The measurements received will be assumed to be the full length including the clasp.
All copyright and other intellectual property rights in all the material on the site or contained in any form of communication from Annaliese Rivers (including but not limited to the design and structure of this site, for example, page layouts, graphical images and underlying software code, collectively the “Content”) belongs to Annaliese Rivers or its licensors. The content of this website is protected by copyright laws.
You may access, download and print the Content provided that such activities are solely for own personal use, private research or study. The Content must not be modified in any way.
You may not otherwise copy, collect, store, reproduce, post, transmit or distribute any of the Content. You may never republish or sell any of the Content without prior written permission from Annaliese Rivers. I am committed to ensuring that your information is secure. I will use all reasonable efforts to safeguard your personal information. However, you should be aware that the use of the Internet is not entirely secure and for this reason I cannot guarantee the security or integrity of any personal information which is transferred from you or to you via the Internet.
Any payments made through the Site are handled using secure socket layer technology or other technology which is at least as secure as that. Any information you submit during the payment process will not be disclosed to anyone under any circumstances other than as necessary for the sale concerned. Nor will it be retained by me thereafter.
13.4 What I collect:
I may collect the following information:
- Information provided voluntarily by you (via email and/or our contact form) when you request information or make a purchase. If you choose to correspond with me via email, the content of your email messages together with your e-mail address and my responses may be retained.
- Information about your use of the Site including details of your visits, this typically includes dates and times of visits, pages viewed and time spent browsing the Site. Such information includes traffic data, location data and other communication data.
Similar to other commercial Websites, the Site utilises cookies.
Through the use of traffic log cookies I can identify the pages which are used the most. Therefore, this enables me to analyse data about web page traffic and consequently improve my website in order to tailor it to customer needs.
13.6 Use of your information:
I use the information that I collect from you to communicate with you and provide my services to you. This includes (but is not limited to) processing any orders you make, obtaining payment and delivering the items requested. I may use the information submitted by you to contact you via telephone, email or post to request your feedback and comments on my goods and/or my service to you. I may also use your information for my internal record keeping.
13.7 Controlling your personal information:
I will not disclose, distribute, lease or sell your personal information to any other party unless I have your written permission or are required by law to do so.
If you believe that any information I am holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please contact me as soon as possible. I will promptly amend any information found to be incorrect.

14 Events Beyond my Control:
I will not be in breach of these Terms & Conditions or otherwise liable for any delays in production, performance or delivery if to the extent that any failure or delay is due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Such circumstances including (without limitation), breakdown of systems or network access, flood, fire, explosion or accident, lockouts, strikes and other industrial disputes.

I understand that on rare occasions things can go wrong. If you wish to make a complaint I do endeavour to respond and work with you to solve the problem within 24 hours.
